ENVIRONMENTAL ASSISTANT

Description

Carry out operational activities of the environmental department related to monitoring, response actions, and environmental management. **Responsibilities and duties** * Receive recyclable waste from selective collection for segregation in bays, cleaning and organizing the Waste Central; * Follow the environmental checklist for verification and recording of environmental conditions and best practices; * Conduct black smoke monitoring using dedicated equipment; * Support maintenance activities for environmental infrastructure; * Conduct field inspections for routine checks (Wastewater Treatment Plant, Fertigation, Livestock in the field, Ash Stock), and promptly report findings to management; * Replace signage plates, informing area management; * Maintain access routes/vegetation clearance to ensure safe passage during inspection routes; * Support soil, water, and effluent sampling for laboratory analysis; * Perform other related tasks within the department as requested by the immediate supervisor. * Perform job-related activities in full compliance with all occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations and procedures established by the organization, and consistently use all mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for carrying out job and departmental tasks. Responsible for immediately reporting to the immediate supervisor any activity posing a risk to one's own health or that of fellow workers. * Perform activities in alignment with the company’s values, policies, guidelines, procedures, and processes, always focusing on organizational goals and maintaining confidentiality and protection of company information. * Maintain discipline in the 5S program, aiming for a safe workplace through organization, standardization, and cleanliness of the work environment. * Safeguard company assets under one's responsibility, reporting any issues or damages detected to the immediate supervisor. **Requirements and qualifications** Completed elementary education; Relevant experience in the field is desirable. **Additional information** Benefits: Meal allowance; Health insurance plan (Unimed); Dental insurance plan; Transportation allowance; Profit-sharing program (PPR); Gympass; On-site meals.
