#### **About the position:** We are looking for a Backend Developer to join a squad responsible for systems supporting various departments across the company. This role will play a pivotal part in evolving internal platforms, contributing to building scalable, high-performance, and highly available solutions. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, participating in the entire software development lifecycle — from solution design through deployment, monitoring, and continuous system improvement. We seek someone who enjoys solving complex problems, has a strong quality mindset, and is always pursuing technical and product enhancements. #### **Key responsibilities:** * Work within a squad focused on systems serving the entire company. * Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team using agile methodologies to build and evolve products; * Understand business objectives and translate them into systemic solutions; * Estimate effort required for system development; * Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to programming best practices. * Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code; * Implement unit and integration tests to ensure code quality; * Help design scalable architectures; * Take ownership of system development, deployment, documentation, and monitoring; #### **Required qualifications:** * Experience with Elixir and/or Golang (preferred) and/or Ruby (preferred); * Interest/flexibility in learning new languages/technologies; * Solid knowledge of Software Engineering; * Solid knowledge of data structures and relational databases; * Knowledge of design patterns, DDD, architectures, and software development best practices; * Knowledge of software documentation and cloud computing fundamentals; * Experience developing APIs (REST, GraphQL); * Knowledge of messaging systems (AWS SNS/SQS, Google PubSub); * Experience with CI/CD (DevOps); * Developer Experience optimizations; * Application performance analysis and improvements; We are Brazil’s largest pet ecosystem, united by one purpose: transforming the world into a place where pets are happier and healthier.
