Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer to strengthen our Engineering team. This role plays a strategic part in sustaining and evolving our data platform, ensuring efficient orchestration, scalability, and reliability. The professional will be responsible for delivering critical data to business areas, applying engineering best practices, and continuously proposing technical improvements — always focusing on quality, stability, and consistency. We seek someone who shares this mindset and wishes to contribute to building robust and innovative solutions. **Responsibilities and duties** * Participate end-to-end in the data lifecycle: from understanding requirements with developers and/or external sources to building data pipelines and data modeling; * Contribute to data-oriented discussions, supporting both the Engineering team and other business areas; * Implement and disseminate engineering best practices, such as code versioning, automated testing, data validation, and metadata documentation; * Act as a facilitator in integrating Technology, Analytics, Data Science, and Business teams; * Document processes, workflows, and deliverables thoroughly, promoting transparency and knowledge sharing; * Perform data extraction, transformation, and analysis, ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability. * Experience integrating with Data Science, Analytics, or Product teams will be considered a plus. **Requirements and qualifications** * Proficiency in SQL, with ability to write complex and performant queries; * Experience in data modeling to optimize storage and query structures; * Solid experience in data engineering, including ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines; * Hands-on experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, or similar); * Knowledge of Delta Lake and best practices for versioning/managing historical data; * Experience in data security, including data masking, anonymization, and governance; * Practical knowledge of cloud computing services (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including storage, processing, and databases; * Experience building and maintaining scalable and resilient data pipelines; * Familiarity with versioning best practices (Git), CI/CD, and agile methodologies; * Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
