In this role, you will elevate the technical level of teams, make long-term architectural decisions, and act as the bridge between technology and business — influencing not only what is built, but how it is built. The profile we seek goes beyond coding: we want someone with **deep technical expertise and business acumen**, who understands how their decisions impact the product, and who genuinely arrives excited to work at the frontier of technology and innovation — including daily use of AI in development. **\#BeABemober** **Responsibilities and Duties** * Serve as a technical reference for distributed systems and cloud-native microservices architecture * Actively participate in the conception, design, and evolution of highly available, highly scalable platforms focused on real-time financial transaction processing * Collaborate cross-functionally with other engineering teams, promoting best practices, architectural consistency, and team-wide technical growth * Make and document architectural decisions clearly, including trade-offs, cost implications, and business impact * Create and evolve infrastructure-as-code (IaC), ensuring reproducible, secure, and scalable environments * Collaborate with product and business teams, translating requirements into robust technical solutions * Promote a culture of observability, security, and performance in production * Adopt and disseminate AI-assisted development practices, contributing to faster and higher-quality team delivery **Requirements and Qualifications** * Solid experience designing microservices and distributed systems in the cloud (preferably AWS) * Proficiency in at least one modern backend language (Go, Java, Kotlin, Node.js, or similar), with genuine openness to working across multiple languages and paradigms * Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or equivalent) * Mastery of modern engineering practices: CI/CD, observability, testing, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), etc. * Ability to architect systems grounded in solid fundamentals and communicate decisions clearly to diverse audiences * A mindset of continuous learning — especially willingness to explore AI and emerging technologies as part of daily development **Nice-to-Haves** * Experience in digital payments, financial services, or fintech domains * Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.) in daily work * Location in Rio de Janeiro *(preferred, but open to candidates nationwide)* **What We Value in This Profile** * **Systems thinking and business acumen.** You look beyond individual tasks.
