As a **Senior Backend Engineer**, you will be responsible for developing and evolving solutions within the Financial Services domain, with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and code quality. If that’s you, join us! **ABOUT THE TEAM** Our **Financial Services Activation** team aims to convert customer interest into effective usage, ensuring a smooth, secure, and ERP-integrated onboarding experience from the very first login. We lead the end-to-end account opening journey — from account discovery to final approval — while guaranteeing robust KYC validations and authentications with minimal effort required from the customer. Our commitment is to ensure that, upon account activation, the customer is already connected to the Conta Azul ecosystem and ready to operate from day one. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Develop clean, stable, and maintainable code, always prioritizing quality and engineering best practices; * Build solutions designed for efficiency, scalability, and resilience, supporting the rapid growth of our financial products; * Write automated tests and actively participate in code reviews, ensuring delivery quality and reliability in a continuous deployment environment; * Contribute to backend architectural decisions, collaborating with the Financial Services Activation team to advance technical solutions for onboarding, KYC, and integration with the Conta Azul ecosystem; * **Use AI effectively and strategically in daily work** — whether to accelerate development, support technical decisions, or build and evolve skills and agents that enhance team capabilities; * **Create, document, and evolve AI skills** applied to the Financial Services context, helping foster an AI-native engineering culture; * Possess solid backend development expertise, with hands-on experience in Go or Java, and the ability to navigate diverse technical contexts; * Communicate quickly and clearly, collaborate effectively with lean, multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic environment featuring rapid deliveries, agile methodologies, and Silicon Valley inspiration. We operate with speed and autonomy daily and are a high-performance team. **Requirements and Qualifications** **REQUIRED** * Extensive backend development experience with Go or Java; * Experience designing and implementing Microservice architectures; * Experience scaling and building resilient systems; * Experience with Docker and containerized environments; * Solid knowledge of REST APIs and best practices for integration; * Proficiency with Git and version control workflows in agile teams; * **Effective use of AI in daily development** — applying tools and models to accelerate delivery, support technical decisions, and improve code quality; * **Ability to create and evolve AI skills and agents** applied to product and business contexts. **DESIRED** * AWS infrastructure experience; * Messaging experience (Kafka, SQS/SNS); * Kubernetes experience; * Knowledge of Financial Services domains, onboarding, or KYC; * Technical English proficiency. **Additional Information:** **BENEFITS** * **Health insurance**: Nationwide coverage with no monthly premium or co-payment.
