Description
Requirements
1 Domain knowledge — SADT module *(internal selection advantage)*
This is the criterion that motivates prioritizing internal candidates. Deep professional knowledge of the diagnostic testing area and its processes within a healthcare institution.
* **Solid experience in diagnostic testing (SADT):** mastery of processes, workflow, and the business problem solved by the module.
* **For the internal position — strong familiarity with our SADT module:** thorough understanding of how the system currently works, its rules, and its behavior in complex scenarios. It is precisely this knowledge that supports the responsibility of being the team’s reference.
* Familiarity with other SGH modules and with the realities of client hospitals.
* Sensitivity to the product’s regulatory context (LGPD and health-related requirements applicable to clinical modules).
2 Product Owner technical competencies
* Ability to structure and prioritize the backlog based on clear criteria.
* Proficiency in writing User Stories and acceptance criteria.
* Mastery of product and workflow management tools (e.g., Jira) — or proven ability to learn them quickly.
* Practical understanding of Scrum and the PO’s role within it.
* Ability to read metrics to support decision-making (expertise in metrics is not required, but the ability to use them effectively is).
3 Technical fluency
The Product Owner profile at DTA is technical. In practice, lacking this fluency creates daily bottlenecks — therefore, here it is not an advantage: it is a requirement.
* Understanding of APIs, endpoints, message exchange formats (JSON, XML, etc.), and how the system integrates with other systems — sufficient to communicate with the technical team without intermediaries.
* Comfort with databases and ability to write SQL queries to investigate data, validate system behavior, and independently answer questions.
* Ability to read and interpret system logic well enough to refine stories accurately and anticipate technical impacts before requests reach development.
4 Behavioral competencies
* **Courage** — to say "no", defend priorities, and bring uncomfortable truths to the table.
* **User focus** — decisions guided by the real pain of product users, not by the loudest voice.
* **Clear communication** — translating business needs to technical teams and technical concepts to business stakeholders without noise. Exceptional ability to translate concepts and clearly articulate desired system behavior to the development team.
* **Collaboration** — working alongside the Scrum Master, Tech Lead, and QA without competing for space.
* **Organization and autonomy** — managing one’s own workflow and keeping the backlog orderly without external prompting.
