We are looking for a talented **Roblox Environment / Background Builder** to help create immersive worlds, cinematic settings, and visually engaging environments inside Roblox Studio. If you enjoy world\-building, environmental storytelling, and collaborating with a creative team, we’d love to hear from you. **Position Overview** We are seeking a creative and detail\-oriented **Roblox Environment / Background Builder** to design and build environments, backgrounds, and cinematic settings for Roblox games and movie\-style productions. This is a **fully remote, team\-based role** where you will collaborate with directors, animators, developers, and storytellers to create immersive worlds. Our projects may involve a **wide range of settings and visual styles**, so flexibility and creativity in building different types of environments is highly valued. **Responsibilities** * Build immersive environments and background scenes in Roblox Studio * Create terrain, buildings, props, landscapes, interiors, cities, villages, and cinematic set pieces * Design visually engaging environments across a **variety of themes, settings, and visual styles** * Create settings that help tell stories and enhance cinematic experiences * Work closely with a remote creative team to match artistic direction and project goals * Assist with character presentation, including **facial expressions, body movement, and scene realism** when needed for cinematic storytelling * Help coordinate environmental details that support emotion and storytelling in scenes * Optimize environments for performance and smooth gameplay * Modify and improve builds based on team feedback * Participate in team collaboration meetings and planning sessions **Qualifications Required:** * Experience using Roblox Studio * Strong building and environmental design skills * **Flexibility and ability to create a wide range of environments and backgrounds across different themes and settings** * **Understanding of character facial expressions, movement, and scene emotion for cinematic storytelling** * **Interest in creating immersive environments that enhance storytelling and visually support different plot lines** * Ability to work collaboratively with a remote team * Good communication and ability to take creative direction * Attention to detail and creativity * Reliable internet and computer setup **Preferred**: * Experience building a **variety of environments and settings** in Roblox, including landscapes, cities, interiors, fantasy worlds, modern settings, cinematic scenes, and other creative environments * Ability to adapt building style to fit **different storylines, moods, and project themes** * Experience with Roblox animations, character posing, or facial expression systems * Understanding of lighting, atmosphere, and visual storytelling * Experience using terrain tools and environmental optimization * Portfolio, screenshots, or examples of Roblox builds **Ideal Candidate** You are: * Creative and imaginative * Passionate about Roblox building and storytelling * **Passionate about creating immersive environments that enhance storytelling and visually support different plot lines** * Comfortable creating a **wide variety of environment styles and settings** * Comfortable collaborating with a team remotely * Detail\-oriented and dependable * Excited to help create meaningful content for kids and families **Compensation** Compensation based on experience and project involvement.
