




Job Summary: The Technical Services Assistant will support Marketing and Sales teams by conducting product testing and applications across various markets, with a focus on Proteins. The Technical Services Assistant will play a critical role in ensuring customer objectives are met. This role will provide technical support to regional Marketing and Sales teams across diverse markets—including Proteins, Oils and Fats, Baking, Biodiesel, Snacks, Cookies, Beverages, and others—performing applications, laboratory testing, pilot testing, sensory testing, and sample preparation, primarily for the Proteins market. The position reports to the Senior Marketing and Technical Manager and collaborates with Kemin Food Technologies South America’s regional Sales team. At Kemin, we value diversity and inclusion. Responsibilities: * Conduct bench-scale and pilot tests * Support the Sales team with technical assistance * Conduct product evaluations and applications at customer sites * Support internal research and customers with protocols, testing, and reporting * Organize laboratory analysis activities and pending tasks for customers * Maintain an up-to-date technical database and promote cross-departmental integration * Translate research findings into technical and commercial materials (e.g., literature, case studies) Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Food Science, or related fields (currently enrolled preferred, ideally in final year) * Desired experience: Work/internship in ingredient or food companies; laboratory-based food ingredient testing (e.g., scientific initiation or current employment); junior enterprise, scientific initiation, or similar university projects * Languages: Advanced English preferred; Intermediate Spanish preferred **Experience and Qualifications:** * Technical knowledge of ingredients and their functionalities applied to food * Knowledge of laboratory techniques * Strong communication, customer service, and presentation skills * Analytical capability for applied research and commercial testing * Proactive profile with a sense of urgency, agility, and results orientation * Organization and attention to detail * Strong teamwork skills * Effective written and oral communication * Alignment with Kemin’s values—teamwork, integrity, passion, servant leadership, safety * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
