




Job Summary: This data science management role focuses on translating the Insurance Vertical’s strategy into Advanced Analytics requirements, aiming to improve operational efficiency, profitability, risk management, and customer experience—with specialization in computer vision. Propose and implement technical changes grounded in business metrics The Data Science Management team is responsible for translating the Insurance Vertical’s strategy into Advanced Analytics requirements to achieve operational efficiency, increased profitability, risk management, and enhanced customer experience. **Responsibilities and Duties** * As a computer vision data science specialist, you will be responsible for planning and executing short-, medium-, and long-term AI strategies utilizing image and video across Porto’s operations. * Support the technical development of other data scientists on the team through code reviews and architecture discussions. * Research and test new approaches to image-related problems (e.g., novel architectures or preprocessing techniques). * Drive improvements to current processes by identifying pathways for implementing models that generate greater profitability. Ensure implemented solutions are scalable and easy to maintain. **Requirements and Qualifications** **Prerequisites:** * Completed undergraduate degree; * Advanced experience applying computer vision to real-world market problems; * Knowledge of image models; * Technical leadership or mentoring profile for data science teams; * Ability to propose and implement technical changes grounded in business metrics; * Continuous pursuit of best practices and new tools to optimize the ML workflow.
