Dynamic and challenging environment focused on autonomy and learning **What We Are Looking For?** We seek a Senior Java Developer to work on a globally significant project for an international client. The ideal candidate must possess a solid technical foundation in distributed systems and strong analytical capabilities to solve complex performance issues. We value professionals who pursue technical excellence and have the autonomy to work across different time zones, ensuring high-quality deliverables in a dynamic environment. **Key Responsibilities:** * Develop and maintain scalable applications using Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem. * Design and implement efficient microservice architectures and RESTful APIs. * Optimize database queries and apply performance tuning techniques to critical systems. * Implement secure coding practices and advanced authentication protocols. * Collaborate on the design of distributed systems with a focus on high availability and scalability. * Manage and evolve CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes. * Monitor and tune JVM performance and caching strategies to reduce latency. **Mandatory Requirements:** * Advanced English proficiency for daily communication with international teams * Solid experience with Java (JDK 8\+), Spring Boot, Hibernate, and multithreading * Availability to work from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM (BRT) * In-depth knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle * Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservice architecture * Practical experience with Azure, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes orchestration * Proficiency in applied security, including OAuth, JWT, and encryption practices * Expertise in performance optimization, database indexing, query optimization, caching (Redis, Memcached), and JVM tuning * Knowledge of messaging systems and high-availability systems **Nice-to-Have:** * Technical certifications in Java or Azure cloud architecture * Prior experience in large-scale international projects * Familiarity with tools for monitoring performance of distributed systems **Work Location: 100% Remote \- Working Hours: 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM (BRT)** **Why Build Your Career at Meta?** We offer autonomy, clear goals, and a dynamic and challenging environment where professionals can interact with various technologies, participate in all types of projects, bring new ideas, and work from anywhere in Brazil—and why not, the world.
