The Legion of Good Will – LGW hires a **Cook**:
The **Cook** is responsible for preparing meals, including cooking and finishing dishes, in strict compliance with hygiene and food safety standards at the Institution's Unit.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
* Prepare varied meals and specific diets, seasoning, cooking, and baking to compose specific menus.
* Guide and supervise the kitchen assistant’s work to ensure production efficiency and quality.
* Follow the nutritionist’s instructions and recipes accurately and consistently.
* Adjust seasonings and flavors to guarantee final product quality.
* Meet production demands within deadlines and maintaining quality.
* Operate various industrial kitchen equipment (stoves, ovens, boilers).
* Maintain, clean, and ensure proper upkeep of kitchen equipment and utensils.
* Use of PPE.
**Requirements and Qualifications** **Education:** Completed secondary education;
**Desirable experience:** In kitchens;
* Experience in large-scale cooking;
* Knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes;
* Knowledge of good food handling practices and food safety;
* Ability to lead and supervise a team;
* Attention to detail and focus on quality.
**Additional Information**
* Workload: **220 hours/month**
* Schedule: **8:00 AM to 5:48 PM (Monday to Friday)**
