The **Ramp Assistant** will perform ramp handling operations (sorting, loading, and unloading) for aircraft safely, efficiently, and punctually, ensuring process efficiency and contributing to customer perception of the company's services regarding baggage and cargo transportation, as well as flight punctuality. Assist during aircraft arrivals and departures and perform aircraft cleaning when necessary. **This position is exclusively for Juazeiro do Norte Airport (JDO)!** ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ **Responsibilities and Duties** * Monitor aircraft during arrivals and departures; * Inspect and monitor baggage and cargo labels; * Place and remove wheel chocks and cones on aircraft according to the Customer Manual or dnata's MGO; * Sort baggage and cargo volumes in airport sorting areas by reading identification labels (with or without technological assistance), ensuring correct loading into storage devices (carts and/or ULDs) for respective flights; * Load baggage and cargo into aircraft holds following standards and procedures outlined in the MGO, adhering to recommendations for special situations (fragile, hazardous, live animals, perishable items); * Unload baggage and cargo by reading identification labels and place them at designated locations (baggage reclaim carousels); * Segregate baggage and cargo during aircraft unloading to facilitate interline connections by reading volume identification labels; * Inspect and supervise baggage and cargo packaging, verifying suitability for transport to ensure flight and handler safety; * Properly handle and allocate baggage and cargo within aircraft holds, observing internal restraint and hold height safety limits; * Unload wheelchairs or baby strollers and place them at designated locations; * Guide ground support equipment during docking procedures to prevent fuselage collisions; * Service aircraft within established timeframes based on service type and airport classification; * Conduct checklists on non-motorized equipment to ensure operational safety and report equipment requiring repair to the GSE Technical Maintenance team; * Report any equipment malfunctions during operations to supervisors. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed high school education; * Strong interpersonal communication skills; * Analytical ability to assess situations; * Stress resistance; Physical requirements include broad and fine motor coordination, dexterity, upper and lower limb articulation, bipedal posture for performing duties, trunk rotation and flexion, physical effort, and walking throughout the entire operational area. Sensory requirements include visual acuity for moving baggage from carousels to transport equipment, chocking, and aircraft loading/unloading with bags and cargo; signaling around the flight being serviced; floor inspection and sweeping to retrieve fallen objects; and auditory perception to identify audible signals from equipment and machinery on the tarmac.
