Senior Application Engineer \- Vibrating Screens Weir Minerals Jundiaí SP / Contagem MG Onsite Job Purpose:*The Engineer, specialized in Vibrating Screens, is responsible for developing advanced technical solutions that ensure correct selection, sizing, specification, and optimization of screening processes in mining operations. Key Responsibilities: * Develop technical solutions for vibrating screens and screening systems, including calculations, sizing, complete specifications, and technical documentation analysis. * Support the sales team in defining customer-aligned solutions, preparing technical and commercial proposals, cost sheets, and participating in kick-off meetings. * Conduct field visits for diagnostics, data collection, troubleshooting, prospecting new business, and post-sales support, including failure analysis and maintenance recommendations. * Serve as the technical reference for customers in the mining and aggregates sectors, leading technical meetings and training for customers and internal teams. * Evaluate existing processes and propose continuous improvements across various applications. * Ensure effective interface with Product Engineering, Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Quality, guaranteeing technical and operational alignment. * Complete internal and customer data sheets, interpret mechanical drawings and process flow diagrams, and apply simulation and calculation software. * Safety first: demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero-incident behaviors in support of our effort to develop a world-class safety culture. Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mining, Mechanical, or Chemical) * Robust experience with vibrating screens in the mineral sector, with in-depth knowledge of classification processes and crushing and grinding circuits, and solid field support, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex technical problems * Direct customer engagement in the mining and aggregates sectors, including technical site visits and process improvement support * Specialization in sizing and selection of vibrating screens, strong understanding of machine dynamics, vibration, and structural integrity, ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and process flow diagrams, and familiarity with simulation and calculation software for technical analysis and specifications * Familiarity with tools for technical analysis, sizing, and cost sheet development, proficiency in Office suite, and knowledge of SAP ERP * Advanced English mandatory; Spanish is considered a plus * Willingness to travel to customer sites Founded in 1871, the Weir Group is a technology leader in mining, committed to making mineral operations more sustainable, intelligent, and efficient.
