Description
The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products or services meet the quality standards established by the company and by regulatory requirements. They perform inspections, tests, and oversee internal and external audits to identify and correct defects in the production process, ensuring that the final product complies with specifications and customer requirements.
* Conduct periodic inspections of raw materials, work-in-process items, and finished products, performing visual checks and using measuring instruments to identify nonconformities and ensure quality standards are maintained from the beginning to the end of production.
* Verify technical specifications by comparing items against technical data sheets and current standards, identifying deviations and ensuring the final product meets customer requirements and applicable legislation.
Identify product defects or failures by observing visual, functional, and dimensional aspects, classifying identified defects and taking corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
* Perform functionality, resistance, durability, and other tests following methods defined in procedures, monitoring product performance and verifying suitability for intended use.
* Prepare test and inspection reports, recording collected data clearly and accurately, documenting results and providing evidence for decision-making.
* Monitor and evaluate production processes, observing workflow, analyzing performance indicators, and identifying critical points affecting quality.
* Collaborate with the production team to discuss identified issues, suggest improvements, and implement corrective and preventive actions to optimize the manufacturing process.
* Participate in internal audits by reviewing documentation, records, and processes on-site, verifying compliance with quality and safety standards and contributing to continuous improvement of the management system.
* Record all inspections performed, noting defects, actions taken, and results obtained, maintaining traceability and facilitating future analysis and audits.
* Prepare conformity and nonconformity reports, describing identified deviations and their consequences, recommending actions and tracking implementation until resolution.
* Train and guide employees through explanatory and practical sessions on required standards, reinforcing the importance of quality and preventing errors in the process.
* Assist in onboarding new inspectors by sharing practical knowledge, supervising their initial activities, and ensuring alignment with company procedures.
* Propose continuous improvements by observing recurring failures, collecting team suggestions, and presenting proposals that increase efficiency and reduce rework.
* Analyze customer feedback, evaluating received complaints and suggestions, identifying patterns, and implementing changes to enhance customer satisfaction and product competitiveness.
