**Job Description:** The Principal AWS Architect will be responsible for leading the strategy, governance, and evolution of cloud architecture, serving as the primary technical authority for critical decisions related to the AWS environment. This is a highly senior role requiring strong systemic vision, the ability to influence executive stakeholders, and proven experience in large-scale digital transformation and modernization programs. This professional will define the target-state reference architecture, conduct complex assessments, and structure evolutionary roadmaps—ensuring the cloud environment aligns with business objectives, security requirements, operational efficiency, and corporate governance. **Key Responsibilities:** * Conduct in-depth analyses of the current architecture (as\-is), identifying structural risks, technical debt, modernization opportunities, and misalignments with AWS best practices. * Define and lead the design of the target architecture (to\-be), considering scalability, resilience, security, performance, and cost efficiency. * Serve as the technical authority for strategic AWS-related decisions—including service selection, architectural standards, and modernization approaches (rehost, replatform, refactor). * Structure and govern the cloud environment’s evolutionary roadmap, prioritizing high-impact initiatives and orchestrating structural change execution. * Define enterprise-wide cloud architecture standards—including guidelines for networking, security, compute, data, integration, and observability. * Lead the multi\-account governance strategy (AWS Organizations), landing zones, and models for environment and workload segregation. * Ensure adherence to the AWS Well\-Architected Framework, promoting best practices across the pillars of security, reliability, operational excellence, performance efficiency, and cost optimization. * Collaborate closely with security, compliance, engineering, infrastructure, and finance (FinOps) teams to ensure alignment between technology and business. * Influence technical and executive leadership by translating complex concepts into clear, feasible, value-oriented guidance. * Support the definition of application migration and modernization strategies—including cloud\-native, containers, serverless, and managed services. * Lead technical and architectural forums, supporting critical decisions and ensuring consistency across adopted solutions. **Required Knowledge** * Extensive experience in AWS solution architecture—especially within large-scale, mission-critical enterprise environments. * In-depth knowledge of core AWS services and their application in distributed architectures (EC2, EKS/ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, IAM, CloudFront, etc.). * Mastery of the AWS Well\-Architected Framework and hands-on experience applying its principles in real-world environments. * Experience in cloud governance strategies—including multi\-account management, landing zones, organizational security, and financial control (FinOps). * Advanced expertise in cloud networking, hybrid architecture, connectivity (VPN, Direct Connect), perimeter security, and segmentation. * Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar) and cloud environment automation. * Proven involvement in digital transformation initiatives, application modernization, and cloud\-native adoption. * Technical leadership and influence capabilities, with strong communication skills tailored to diverse audiences (technical and executive). * Strategic, analytical, and results-oriented mindset—with the ability to balance governance, innovation, and delivery speed. **Additional Information** * Contract type: PJ (Individual Entrepreneur) * Work model: Hybrid (2 days/week at Chácara Santo Antônio \- SP) **Location** São Paulo, SP, BR
