JOB MISSION The Carpentry Assistant is a fundamental member of the production team in a carpentry workshop, responsible for supporting daily manufacturing and assembly activities of custom-made furniture. Under guidance, the Carpentry Assistant plays a crucial role in material preparation, workplace organization, and performing practical tasks optimized for producing high-quality furniture. RESPONSIBILITIES Material Preparation: Assist in cutting, sanding, and preparing materials used in furniture manufacturing, ensuring they are ready for assembly. Assembly and Joinery: Collaborate in assembling furniture components, following project instructions and technical drawings. Perform precise joinery and connections. Tool Usage: Operate manual and electric tools—such as saws, drills, sanders, and others—in accordance with safety guidelines and carpenters’ instructions. Workplace Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Store tools, materials, and parts appropriately. Team Support: Assist carpenters in their tasks, following their instructions and guidance. Work collaboratively to ensure production efficiency. Finishing: Participate in furniture finishing stages, perform final sanding, apply varnishes or paints, edge banding, touch-ups, cleaning, and ensure products have an impeccable final appearance. Quality Control: Participate in inspection of produced components, identifying potential defects and assisting in corrections. Workplace Safety: Strictly adhere to workplace safety regulations and correctly use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). COMPETENCIES EDUCATION: Completed high school (minimum).
