**About Production**
Planetary resources are scarce. Umicore’s refining and recycling technology gives used metals a new lifecycle. We are world experts in treating the most complex materials. Our processes help add value to the circular economy while reducing environmental impacts. To recover the maximum amount of metal from various material types, we cannot stand still. We must find new ways of working—discovering new solutions and developing new processes. And that’s where you come in.
**What You’ll Do**
Request materials for production orders.
Assist supervision and the production supervisor in sequencing and controlling production process steps, monitoring process times, and communicating identified deviations for adjustments to the process flow.
Analyze, control, and audit production documents and spreadsheets for correct and accurate completion, and archive them per procedure.
Record all production process activities in the system.
Identify opportunities for improvement in operational management and support supervision.
Support supervision in continuous improvement plans and actions for process enhancement and deviation correction, analyzing and processing data generated and recorded in the integrated system and reports from meetings, to assist in production management and contribute to maintaining quality and productivity, reducing costs, and increasing activity safety.
Monitor input inventories by analyzing information in the integrated system, assist PCP in delegated controls of materials and inputs, and communicate deviations and requirements.
Issue purchase requisitions for inputs, auxiliary materials, and others.
Assist supervision in developing and maintaining procedures and service instructions to define methods and ensure standardization of material handling in production.
Support training and guidance of the operational team.
Maintain quality and production indicators (production volume, process times, machine utilization rate per material, etc.) through collection of production reporting data.
**Who We’re Looking For**
Diploma in Production Management or Industrial Processes Technology, or Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering;
Experience in production administration and/or PCP routines in industry;
Experience using integrated systems;
Advanced Excel knowledge is desirable;
SAP system knowledge is a plus.
