Job Summary: This role involves understanding business needs, designing and developing software using JAVA, and contributing to an agile development team. Key Highlights: 1. Collaboration with Product Owners and Architects on requirements. **What success looks like in this role:** **Unisys values Inclusion and Diversity; therefore, our job openings are open to all individuals, including the LGBTQIAPN+ community, women, people with disabilities, Black people, and other underrepresented groups.** * Understand business needs and requirements, as well as software architectures, data structures, testing strategies, and other inputs from Product Owners, Business Analysts, Requirements Analysts, Software/Solutions Architects, and Database Analysts. * Develop and maintain technical project artifacts (e.g., diagrams, workflows, interfaces), source code for software, and other deliverables across analysis and design, implementation, and testing disciplines—specifically targeting the JAVA programming language and platform—as per the current methodology. * Participate in the development team by assuming, planning, estimating, and completing backlog items during each sprint, while promptly flagging risks related to delays, idle time, and technical impediments. **You will be successful in this role if you have:** * A completed undergraduate degree in technology-related fields: Information Systems, Computer Science, or related disciplines; * Intermediate English proficiency for comprehension and reading; * Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively gather inputs and report progress and outcomes of your activities; * Ability to work collaboratively in a team, demonstrating good interpersonal relationships, empathy, tolerance, and cooperation; * Organizational skills and ability to self-manage time and tasks; * Proactivity and capability to make timely decisions within your scope of responsibility; * Initiative in addressing business needs and processes, as well as development strategies; knowledge of agile software development principles and practices, including the Agile Manifesto, Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP), and Kanban; * Ability to analyze functional and non-functional requirements; * Knowledge of relational data modeling; * Proficiency in writing database queries using SQL; This position is remote; however, if you reside in São Paulo city or its surrounding areas and live within 24 km of the Unisys office (South Zone – João Dias Bridge), you will be required to attend onsite three times per week. \#LI\-LL1 Unisys is proud to be an equal opportunity employer that considers all qualified applicants without regard to age, caste, citizenship, color, disability, family medical history, family status, ethnicity, gender, gender expression, gender identity, genetic information, marital status, national origin, parental status, pregnancy, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, transgender status, veteran status or any other category protected by law.
