Manage safety programs and legal documentation **Occupational Safety Technician** The professional will be responsible for implementing and executing occupational safety activities in gold mining operations, structuring programs, processes, and legal documentation, fostering a safety culture among operational teams, and continuously training employees to perform safe practices. **Responsibilities and Activities** * Develop, implement, and update the Risk Management Program (PGR) in accordance with NR-1, including risk inventory and documented action plan; * Support PCMSO implementation in coordination with the occupational physician, monitoring admission, periodic, dismissal, and return-to-work medical examinations; * Plan, execute, and record mandatory training required by applicable NRs, including NR-6, NR-11, NR-12, NR-22, NR-33, and NR-35; * Organize and advise the Internal Commission for Accident Prevention (CIPA); * Investigate accidents and incidents using root cause analysis methodology, issue CAT (Accident Communication Form), and implement corrective actions; * Control the supply, use, cleaning, and replacement of PPE, maintaining signed delivery records; recommend and monitor installation and maintenance of collective protective equipment (EPC); * Prepare or review reports on unhealthy and hazardous working conditions, LTCAT, PPP, and other documents required by e-Social; * Develop and update the emergency response plan, including evacuation routes, fire brigade, drills, and coordination with external agencies; * Respond to inspections by the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE) and the National Mining Agency (ANM), maintaining an organized and up-to-date legal documentation archive; * Identify and report safety indicators. **Requirements:** * Technical course in Occupational Safety, with active registration at the MTE; * Proven experience in this role, including demonstrable experience in establishing and structuring occupational safety departments—including program development, process design, and legal documentation—preferably in mining, heavy construction, steelmaking, or high-risk process industries; * Knowledge of and ability to apply regulatory standards NR-1, NR-6, NR-9, NR-15, NR-16, NR-22, NR-33, and NR-35, as well as legislation from the National Mining Agency (ANM); * Experience preparing and managing mandatory technical documents: PGR, PCMSO, LTCAT, CAT, and PPP, with capability to populate and maintain records in e-Social; * Desired experience in chemical risk management and familiarity with NR-10 and NR-12.
