Assembly Technician (PL)

**Job Description and Responsibilities:** **Working Hours:** Monday to Friday \- From 08:00 to 18:00 hrs **Level:** Operational **Employment Type:** Permanent – CLT * Prepares for tasks by arranging necessary materials, tools, and equipment. Interprets technical information from manufacturers, considering various vehicle brands and models. Selects appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for each task. * Dismantles the vehicle, identifying the workspace and preparing a location to store dismantled parts. Removes parts using specific equipment and tools, applying required disassembly techniques while observing the unique removal method for each part to facilitate subsequent reassembly after vehicle repairs. * Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical equipment for window operation, seats, and trim to gain access to body panels and fenders. Removes damaged panels. Removes aligned parts — during vehicle body preparation — to allow painting. * Identifies the plastic family and properties used in the vehicle. Classifies, selects, and labels dismantled parts. Lists damaged parts identified during disassembly. Verifies the type and model of parts to be used during vehicle assembly. * After vehicle repair, reassembles the vehicle by identifying and selecting parts. Attaches each part according to its position within the assembly, using required equipment, tools, and techniques to complete vehicle assembly. * Installs and secures windows, vinyl roofs, and metal trim onto vehicle bodies using caulking guns, adhesive brushes, and specialized mallets. Applies heat to plastic panels using hot-air guns or immersion in hot water, then manually presses softened panels into their installation position and back to their original shape. * Monitors the process using measuring instruments and inspecting each assembly stage. Replaces damaged parts, performing assembly with replacement components. Replaces damaged glass on vehicles. Reviews the entire assembly work. * Complies with quality management systems and other standards — specific to the company and/or adopted in certification processes defined by vehicle manufacturers or insurers — to achieve service excellence. * Maintains a clean and organized workplace. Keeps materials orderly and properly stored. * Performs first-level maintenance on equipment, machinery, and tools, including cleaning, minor repairs, and requesting corrective maintenance when necessary. Checks lubrication of pneumatic equipment and machinery for leaks, dripping, and other anomalies. * Completes material requisition forms and equipment, machinery, and tool maintenance request forms. * Works safely, using personal protective equipment (PPE) and collective protective equipment (CPE). Identifies unsafe conditions and takes appropriate action to eliminate them or reports them to supervision, depending on the situation’s complexity. Disposes of hazardous waste appropriately. Discards materials in compliance with environmental regulations. * **Requirements:** * Completed high school education * Prior experience as an assembler in a mechanical workshop * Knowledge of assembly tools and equipment * Ability to work in a team * Good communication and organizational skills * Certifications issued by manufacturers or dealers related to assembly and maintenance **Preferred Qualifications:** * Technical course in Mechanics or related fields * Specific certifications in mechanical assembly * Experience assembling automotive vehicles **Benefits:** Disclosed during the interview
