Description
CI\&T's corporate data team is growing! We are a team of 40 people covering support, development, and architecture for a platform serving internal customers across the entire global organization. Our environment is hybrid: we operate a modern cloud platform on **Azure**, coexisting with a significant legacy **on\-premise** environment — and part of your role will be to evolve this architecture responsibly and with excellence.
As we operate under **SOX compliance**, we handle structured processes, audit trails, and strict change controls. If you value technical expertise paired with mature governance, this is the right place for you.
### **Key Responsibilities**
As the technical guardian of our data platform, your work will focus on three strategic pillars:
* **Data Governance:** Building data catalogs, data lineage, and metadata management to ensure all data sharing is auditable and standardized in alignment with the SOX environment.
* **Active FinOps:** Monitoring, analyzing, and executing cost optimization across the entire cloud ecosystem, including Databricks compute, Fabric capacities, storage, and ADF.
* **Layered Security:** Implementing and managing access control policies (RBAC and ABAC), encryption, and network security (VNets, Private Links) — from storage to consumption — covering both cloud and on\-premise environments.
* **Architectural Evolution:** Designing and evolving integration between the modern cloud platform and the legacy environment, as well as managing data consumption via Direct Lake.
* **Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:** Clearly documenting architectural decisions to ensure technical alignment and governance across a 40-person team.
### **Prerequisites**
* Solid Azure experience: Proficiency with the Azure cloud ecosystem (Azure Data Factory, Storage, Resource Groups, and networking).
* Hands-on Databricks experience: Practical experience with Spark, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
* Microsoft Fabric knowledge: Experience with Fabric and Direct Lake (even if recent).
* Hybrid architecture: Familiarity with environments integrating cloud and on\-premise systems (knowledge of SQL Server, SSAS, or similar is considered a plus).
* Security and governance: Practical understanding of cloud security (access controls, LGPD).
* Compliance: Prior knowledge or experience in SOX or ITGC-compliant environments.
* Language: Fluent technical English for reading and documentation.
**Nice-to-have:**
* Proven FinOps experience with measurable outcomes in cost savings or efficiency improvements.
* Integration of generative AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or similar) into daily workflows.
