Job Description
Verification and recording of fiscal invoices
Analysis of fiscal ledgers
Issuance and calculation of ICMS-ST, ICMS, ISS, PIS, and COFINS tax forms
Issuance of electronic service invoices (NFTS)
Recording of service invoices on the São Paulo Municipal Government (PMSP) website
Submission of ancillary obligations: GIA, EFD Fiscal, EFD Contributions, DCTF, and EFD/REINF
Reconcile tax-related accounts to ensure alignment with accounting records
Monitor updates to tax legislation.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Analyze and interpret tax legislation to ensure the company’s proper compliance with tax obligations.
* Prepare and review tax declarations and reports, such as SPED Fiscal, DCTF, and EFD-Contributions.
* Conduct internal audits to verify tax compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
* Support accounting and finance departments on tax-related matters and legislation.
* Monitor changes in tax legislation and implement updates to internal processes.
* Prepare and present reports on the company’s tax status to management.
* Participate in tax planning projects aimed at improvements and tax savings.
* Develop and implement internal procedures to enhance fiscal control.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Sciences, Law, or related fields;
* Proven experience in tax legislation and tax obligations;
* Knowledge of tax calculation (ICMS, IPI, ISS, IRPJ, CSLL);
* Proficiency in tax management software and ERP systems;
* Advanced Excel skills;
* Ability to analyze and interpret tax regulations;
* Continuous updating on changes in tax legislation;
* Strong communication skills and ability to work in teams.
Desirable Requirements
* Prior experience in tax departments, preferably in medium-to-large enterprises.
* Knowledge of tax and fiscal legislation, including ICMS, IPI, PIS, and COFINS.
* Skill in analyzing and interpreting fiscal and accounting data.
* Proficiency in fiscal and accounting management tools.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work in teams.
* Attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Familiarity with ERP systems and fiscal management software, including TOTVS.
