Description
We are seeking an organized and analytical professional to join our Import team. The person will be responsible for overseeing the entire operational import cycle—from initiating the process to product arrival—ensuring traceability, documentary compliance, and alignment with suppliers.
**Technical Competencies:**
* Reading and verifying documents in English (invoices, BLs, packing lists).
* Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data tracking and cross-referencing.
* Analytical ability to identify inconsistencies and trace information across different systems.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Familiarity with international trade and logistics (Incoterms, import documentation, customs clearance procedures).
* Prior experience in import operations or as a customs broker. Familiarity with management systems (ERP). Intermediate or advanced English proficiency.

**Key Responsibilities:**
* Shipment tracking: monitor vessel status and ensure timely updates of deadlines with carriers and agents.
* Process mapping: document and analyze the full import workflow, identifying bottlenecks and proposing improvements.
* Document analysis and verification: review invoices, Bills of Lading (BLs), and other related documents, flag inconsistencies, and track corrections.
* Price updates: monitor and record new supplier pricing, reporting significant variations.
* Inventory turnover control: monitor stock movement indicators to support the commercial and planning teams.
