Our hospital complex features *three emergency departments*: a *private and health insurance emergency department* located at *Dom Vicente Scherer Hospital*; a *SUS (Brazil's Unified Health System) emergency department* located at *Nora Teixeira Hospital*; and a *pediatric emergency department* located at *Santo Antônio Children's Hospital*.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
* Guide patients and their families regarding hospital rules and routines, preparation for procedures and exams, and post-discharge care continuity; proactively address complications involving patients and families to support proper procedure execution and patient rehabilitation;
* Record materials, medications, and procedures/exams performed on patients in the system to assist in generating and finalizing patient bills;
* Conduct pre-triage, prioritizing cases for risk classification assessment, expediting patient transport, acting as the frontline interface with clinical services, providing initial orientation to patients and families, directing patient flow, and thereby enhancing care quality and prioritizing patients;
* Administer medications, perform dressings, administer drugs, conduct punctures, collect laboratory specimens, escort and transport patients for exams, accompany clinical teams during complex diagnostic and therapeutic exams, and transfer critically ill patients to intensive care units to deliver comprehensive patient care;
* Transport urgent and emergency lab specimens to the laboratory for processing to expedite patient test results;
* Support clinical services in requesting and retrieving medical-hospital supplies, medications, and equipment; monitor temperature and medication expiration dates; manage the crash cart; organize and monitor box expiration dates; maintain unit organization; direct patients' belongings to designated storage areas; support equipment maintenance requests, aiming to assist the department with administrative matters;
* Attend to urgent, emergency, critical, and unstable patients, monitoring patients undergoing chemotherapy infusions per institutional clinical protocols to provide comprehensive patient care;
* Accompany dialysis patients, managing patient care, fluid replacement, medication administration, and interventions to meet patients' clinical needs.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
* Completed Nursing Technician program;
* Active and up-to-date COREN registration;
* Prior experience in urgent/emergency care is desirable;
* Specialization in the field is an advantage;
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
* Experience with the Tasy system is an advantage.
