Requires autonomy, adaptability, and a solid technical foundation in mechanics SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES As a **Service Mechanical Technician**, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repair, load testing, inspection, and technical analysis on aerospace tools and ground support equipment. In addition to following work instructions, you will apply your technical knowledge and diagnostic skills to identify failure symptoms, root causes, and propose repair methods, ensuring reliable and safe equipment for our customers. This hands-on position requires autonomy, adaptability, and a solid technical foundation in mechanics. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, modifications, and preventive maintenance—primarily on mechanical and hydraulic aerospace tools (lifting equipment, support tools, measuring instruments, and GSE). * Conduct technical analyses, functional tests, and load tests to validate compliance of repaired equipment. * Independently define diagnostic methods and propose repair solutions when standard procedures are insufficient. * Disassemble, reassemble, adjust, and calibrate equipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with technical standards. * Perform quality control prior to shipment and prepare equipment for customer delivery. * Conduct on-site interventions at customer facilities (airlines, MROs, OEMs) when required. * Contribute to service quotation preparation in coordination with the Customer Service Manager or Field Service Engineers. * Ensure proper use of the ERP system and workshop documentation for activity tracking and record maintenance. * Maintain workshop organization, including cleanliness, tool storage, inventory management, and compliance with safety regulations. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS **• Advanced English or Spanish is mandatory.** * Technical diploma or vocational training in mechanics (automotive, motorcycles, heavy vehicles, agricultural machinery, industrial mechanics, or equivalent). * Proven experience in mechanical repair and maintenance (hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical systems). * Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation. * Manual dexterity, precision, and a practical approach to problem-solving. * Basic knowledge of welding, machining, or other specialized processes is considered a plus. * Experience with diagnostic tools and test equipment. * Certifications for forklift operation, welding, and lifting equipment will be valued.
