Job Summary:
The Production Assistant performs diverse tasks involving the handling, control, and organization of materials and products within production processes.

Responsible for performing diverse tasks within production processes, focusing on the handling, control, and organization of materials, components, and products, in accordance with sector leader instructions. Tasks include sorting, counting, inspection, packaging, and movement of items, as well as operating automatic machines and assisting in material quality control. The Production Assistant may also work across various departments, including industrial towels, uniforms, laundry, material counting, and others.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Process, inspect, classify, and package materials according to each department’s requirements (towels, uniforms, PPEs, etc.);
* Inspect materials and identify the need for repairs or mending;
* Supply departments with required materials, such as towels, uniforms, and laundry items;
* Sort and organize materials according to quality specifications and customer requirements;
* Operate automatic machines (folding machines, laminators, monorail systems, etc.);
* Feed approved materials into automatic folding and laminating machines;
* Fold, package, and seal items—including towels and uniforms—in specified quantities and formats;
* Sort volumes by type, customer, and usage condition, and prepare them for shipment or dispatch;
* Perform counting and verification of received and dispatched materials to ensure compliance;
* Ensure non-conforming materials are segregated to prevent delivery to customers;
* Assist in maintaining department cleanliness and organization, adhering to safety standards and operational procedures;
* Actively participate in onboarding and training processes for new employees, when required.
