Job Summary: We are seeking a Mining Engineer to develop and update long-term mine plans and conduct economic and technical studies to optimize the mine's life. Key Highlights: 1. All applications must be submitted exclusively through our official channels. **Responsibilities and Duties** * **Block Modeling and Scenario Studies** * Develop and update **block models** and mine planning models based on geological resources. * Evaluate different **underground mining methods** (sublevel stoping, cut & fill, room & pillar, block caving, etc.). * Simulate production scenarios considering technical, economic, and environmental constraints. * **Long-Term Mine Planning** * Define **multi-year mining sequencing** (5-, 10-, or 15-year horizons). * Balance production and development to ensure continuous ore flow. * Integrate the plan with the company’s strategic objectives (ramp-up, mine life extension, expansion). * **Economic and Financial Evaluation** * Calculate **NPV, IRR, payback**, and other economic indicators. * Apply **financial parameters and cut-off grade** (contribution margin, unit cost, CAPEX and OPEX assumptions). * Support feasibility studies (PFS, FS) and processes for **reportable reserves**, in accordance with international standards (JORC, NI 43-101, PERC, etc.). * **Integration with Other Disciplines** * Collaborate with **resource geology**, **geotechnics**, **ventilation**, and **infrastructure engineering**. * Assess geomechanical constraints (pillar stability, stope stability, wall stability). * Consider ventilation and infrastructure requirements (ramps, shafts, main drifts). * **Reserve Management and Technical Reporting** * Periodically update **resource and reserve inventories**. * Prepare **long-term technical maps, sections, and reports**. * Contribute to annual reserve reports and support external audits. * **Strategic Decision Support** * Evaluate expansion projects and new ore bodies (brownfield & greenfield). * Define the **mine life horizon (LOM – Life of Mine)**. * Propose alternatives to optimize the plan against market scenarios (metal prices, costs, exchange rates). * **Innovation and Sustainability** * Assess impact of new technologies (autonomous equipment, digitalization, alternative backfill). * Incorporate socio-environmental aspects and legal compliance into planning. * Work on solutions to reduce **dilution, losses, and environmental impacts** **Requirements and Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering; * Active CREA registration; * Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency; * Experience in underground mining; * Desirable experience with Deswik, AutoCAD, Aegis; * Experience in reserve declaration; * Experience with mining software; * Advanced English proficiency desirable. **Additional Information** * Competitive salary; * Health and dental insurance; * Life insurance; * Profit Sharing Plan (PLR); * Private pension plan; * Meal allowance; * On-site cafeteria; * Wellhub; * Chartered transportation; * Extended maternity and paternity leave; * Gym membership assistance (Gympass); * Pharmacy allowance; * Educational assistance for children; * English language learning incentive. * Triennial bonus; * Vacation bonus. #### **We are ERO, one of Brazil’s leading copper and gold producers.** **We are part of a global group headquartered in Canada with strong presence in Brazil.
