Job Summary: Environmental intern to perform Environmental Management routines in a steel industry, with focus on sustainability and control of waste, water, energy, noise, and emissions. Experience in operational controls for waste, water, and energy We currently have an opening for an Environmental Intern to join us in performing Environmental Management routines within an industrial setting. We are a steel company with over 100 years of experience serving both domestic and international markets. We hold ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) certification and uphold additional sustainability commitments. **Responsibilities and Duties** The intern will perform administrative routines related to operational controls of aspects and impacts associated with solid waste, water, electricity, noise, atmospheric emissions, and others: * Support in environmental management of prevention programs; * Support in recording waste movement and transportation (MTR System); * Support in controlling inputs used at the Water Treatment Plant (ETA); * Support in managing Environmental Management indicators; and * Support in managing internal awareness, education, and training programs; **Requirements and Qualifications** The intern must be enrolled in an undergraduate program from the 4th semester onward in: Biological Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Forestry Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Management, Oceanography, Chemistry, or related fields; possess intermediate Excel skills; and demonstrate willingness to learn through hands-on experience and integrate practical application with theoretical knowledge. Electro Aço Altona S.A. was founded on March 8, 1924, as a small foundry and mechanical repair workshop. Initially named Auerbach \& Werner, it was formed by combining the names of its German-origin owners: engineer Paul Werner and blacksmith Ernst Auerbach. The company expanded and incorporated steel into its production line, changing its name to Electro Aço Altona in 1933\. Thus emerged Santa Catarina's first steel foundry and one of Brazil's earliest. Over the past decade, the company has acquired other enterprises to accommodate and expand its production line, while also establishing overseas subsidiaries to strengthen customer support in high-demand commercial regions such as Europe and North America. Altona continuously progresses, consistently identifying the most dynamic sectors of the economy to broaden its scope, develop new markets, and deliver its steel solutions across diverse industries.
