Job opening to work at the **SAMU** 192 of Santa Catarina as a **Radio Operator** at the **Urgency Regulation Center** of the **Itajaí Valley** macroregion in **Blumenau/SC**.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:**
* Operate radio communication and telephone systems at regulation centers, using "Q" and "J" code language when communicating with all units involved in prehospital care;
* Exercise operational control and management of the mobile prehospital care vehicle and aircraft fleet, keeping the team and regulating physician updated on the status and location of each unit;
* Dispatch units according to incident color-coding, following priorities defined by the regulating physician and recorded in the Health Information System – Regulation Center; delayed dispatch is unacceptable if a mobile unit is available for such dispatch/response;
* Know the road network and main access routes across the entire territory covered by mobile prehospital care services;
* Be aware of the region’s primary helipads or nearby landing sites providing access to the response location (especially for transfers), with or without ambulance support;
* Record all incidents and unit deactivations, including descriptions of reasons;
* Inform the next shift operator of all pending items, especially unit and team unavailability; to prevent communication failures, also record these pending items in the incident logbook;
* Verbally and in writing inform the coordinator and/or fleet manager of issues related to vehicles and aircraft used by teams in prehospital care;
* Assist the operational team in locating the QTH whenever necessary;
* Monitor unit movement in the system to assist the team in reaching the incident location;
* Use Google Maps and Street View whenever necessary;
* Assist in covering vacation, day-off, and/or emergency staffing schedules within the institution, when required or requested by the immediate supervisor;
* Perform tasks with focus on continuous improvement of institutional processes;
* Properly use and maintain all personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by the institution;
* Safeguard institutional assets and use resources (equipment, materials, and facilities) responsibly, immediately reporting any problems or changes to the supervisor;
* Fully comply with manuals, procedures, corporate policies, and coexistence charter;
* Perform other related or inherent duties as described in the job profile and service order and/or as requested by the immediate manager.
**REQUIREMENTS:**
* Minimum age of 18 years;
* High school diploma issued by an institution recognized by the Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC);
* Basic computer skills;
* Minimum professional experience of 6 (six) months operating radio communication systems;
* Personal willingness for the role, emotional balance and self-control, initiative, strong communication skills, willingness to follow instructions, dexterity in performing duties, ability to work in a team, and ethical behavior to maintain professional confidentiality.
**WORKLOAD:** 30 hours per week.
**WORK SCHEDULE:** 2-on/1-off rotation.
**SHIFTS:**
* Morning: 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM;
* Afternoon: 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM;
* Night: 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM;
* Early morning: 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM.
