Job Summary: The Mechanical Technical Assistant will support the daily operations of the mechanical department, assisting in disassembly, cleaning, assembly, inspection, and maintenance of components. Assist in disassembly, cleaning, and assembly of mechanical components. Support inspections of machinery and various mechanical systems. Prepare tools, equipment, and materials required for maintenance activities. Clean parts, engines, workbenches, and work areas before and after tasks. Maintain workplace organization, ensuring proper storage of tools and equipment. Assist in loading, handling, and positioning of materials and components. Perform basic maintenance records when requested (checklists, photos, and supporting notes). Strictly comply with safety regulations, including correct use of PPE and safe work practices. Accompany the responsible mechanic during onboard vessel or workshop activities.
