**Responsibilities of a Cashier Operator** * Greet customers courteously. * Clarify questions regarding prices, promotions, or payment methods. * Provide prompt and respectful service. * Scan products using the barcode reader or manually enter them. * Verify items and amounts displayed on the screen. * Operate the cash register to accept payments in cash, credit/debit cards, PIX, vouchers, and other methods. * Issue fiscal invoices or receipts. * Verify the starting change fund at the beginning of the shift. * Perform end-of-shift closing procedures (verify amounts, generate reports, justify discrepancies, if any). * Keep the cash register clean and organized. * Ensure the security of funds and equipment. * Manage available change. * Request additional cash as needed.
