Senior Accountant

Description

Responsible for monthly accounting closing, complex account reconciliations, and preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with CPCs and IFRS. Ensures tax and accounting compliance, supports internal and external audits, and proposes improvements to controls and processes. Demonstrates strong analytical capability and strategic vision, with a focus on the accuracy of financial information and support to management in decision-making. **Responsibilities and duties** * Perform accounting reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts. * Record accounting entries and review expense and revenue classifications. * Prepare and analyze trial balances and financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement). * Support monthly and annual accounting closings. * Support accounting for environmental provisions, judicial contingencies, and mine decommissioning obligations; * Ensure correct application of accounting standards (CPC, IFRS, and applicable legislation). * Prepare and submit ancillary obligations (ECD, ECF); * Support external and internal audits by providing documentation and explanations. * Participate in process improvements, automation initiatives, and strengthening of internal controls; * Collaborate with departments such as Tax, Finance, Controller’s Office, and other company areas. **Requirements and qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Sciences. * Intermediate proficiency in Excel and ERP systems – RM TOTVS. * Willingness to work in Belo Horizonte \- MG. * Active CRC registration. **Additional information** * Transportation allowance * Meal allowance * Medical assistance * Dental assistance * Life insurance * Funeral assistance * Food allowance * Christmas basket * PPR (Profit-Sharing Plan) At P.A.
