As a **Ramp Assistant**, you will perform ramp handling operations (sorting, loading, and unloading) for aircraft safely, efficiently, and punctually, ensuring process effectiveness and contributing to customers' perception of the company’s services regarding baggage and cargo transportation and flight punctuality. Assist with aircraft arrivals and departures and aircraft cleaning when required. **This position is exclusively for the Boa Vista Airport (BVB)!** ---------------------------------------------------------------------- **Responsibilities and Duties** * Monitor aircraft during arrivals and departures; * Inspect and monitor baggage and cargo labels; * Place and remove wheel chocks and cones on aircraft according to the Client Manual or dnata MGO; * Sort baggage and cargo volumes in airport sorting areas by reading identification labels (with or without technological assistance), ensuring correct loading onto storage devices (carts and/or ULDs) for respective flights; * Load baggage and cargo into aircraft holds following norms and procedures outlined in the MGO, including special handling instructions (e.g., fragile, hazardous, live animals, perishable items); * Unload baggage and cargo by reading identification labels and place them at designated locations (baggage reclaim carousels); * Segregate baggage and cargo during aircraft unloading to facilitate interline connections by reading volume identification labels; * Inspect and supervise baggage and cargo packaging to verify suitability for transport, ensuring flight safety and the safety of personnel handling such items; * Correctly handle and appropriately stow baggage and cargo in aircraft holds, observing internal retention requirements and hold height safety limits; * Unload wheelchairs or baby strollers and place them at designated locations; * Guide ground support equipment during docking procedures to prevent fuselage collisions; * Service aircraft within the timeframes established for each type of service and airport classification; * Conduct pre-use inspections of non-motorized equipment to ensure operational safety and report defective units to the GSE Technical Maintenance team; * Report any equipment anomalies occurring during operations to supervisors. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed high school education; * Strong interpersonal communication skills; * Analytical capability in assessing situations; * Stress resilience; Physical requirements include broad and fine motor coordination, dexterity, upper and lower limb articulation, bipedal posture for performing tasks, trunk rotation and flexion, physical effort, and walking throughout the entire operational area. Sensory requirements include visual acuity for moving baggage from carousels to transport equipment, chocking, aircraft loading/unloading with baggage and cargo, flight-related signaling, floor inspection and scanning to retrieve fallen objects, and auditory perception for identifying audible signals from equipment and machinery on the apron.
