Maintenance of a clean, organized, and functional kitchen **Job Description – Kitchen Assistant** **Role Summary:** The Kitchen Assistant is responsible for supporting the chef and other staff in executing pre\-preparation, preparation, and plating of dishes served at the buffet and à la carte. This role ensures quality, hygiene, and organization across all kitchen processes. **Main Responsibilities:** * Perform food pre\-preparation and initial preparation according to the chef's instructions and established menu; * Assist in plating and finalizing buffet dishes and preparations; * Sanitize food, utensils, equipment, and work areas in accordance with **ANVISA** regulations and good food handling practices; * Verify product quality and expiration dates, ensuring only ingredients in optimal condition are used; * Maintain a clean, organized, and functional kitchen, contributing to a safe and productive environment; * Support proper storage of food items, respecting labeling and expiration dates; * Adhere to food safety standards to prevent contamination risks and waste. **Requirements:** * Completed elementary education; * Prior experience in kitchen operations or food handling is desirable; * Basic knowledge of hygiene and food handling best practices; * Ability to work effectively in a team, with agility and commitment. **Desired Profile:** A dynamic, proactive professional attentive to detail and committed to food quality and kitchen organization.
