The Junior Accounts Assistant supports the finance team by processing invoices and payments, helping to maintain strong cash flow. The role plays a key part in timely billing, accurate payment processing, reducing Work in Progress (WIP), and managing debtor balances.
**What will you be doing?**
* Assist with timesheet and expense report entry, including follow‑up on submissions in the ERP system.
* Raise invoices daily to meet individual and team targets.
* Respond promptly to customer billing queries via email and telephone, escalating issues as required.
* Provide billing support to surveyors, global branches, and business line managers.
* Support debt and cash collection activities across the business.
* Assist with month‑end transactional entries in NetSuite, including balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts.
* Manage company bank accounts and petty cash with accuracy and integrity.
* Support administration of company health plans, insurance policies, and mobile phone plans.
* Assist with budget data entry and provide information to external accountants as required.
* Ensure compliance with company QHSE policies and procedures.
* Carry out any other duties as required by the Finance Manager or management team.
**What are we looking for?**
* Educated to degree level in a Finance related subject such as Accounting, Economics or Administration.
* Administrative experience, ideally within a finance or billing environment.
* Experience supporting complex billing processes and cost control.
* Working knowledge of Accounts Receivable, including invoicing and debt management.
* Experience with Accounts Payable and maintaining supplier relationships.
* Experience using an ERP system for billing and financial processing.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and MS Teams.
