**Description and Responsibilities:**
**Working Hours:** 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

**Employment Type:** Permanent – CLT **1\. WHAT IS IT LIKE TO BE AN ACCOUNTING AND TAX ASSISTANT AT MSF\-BRAZIL?**
You will support accounting activities in accordance with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Brazil’s policies and procedures, Brazilian legislation, and local accounting practices, ensuring all entries comply with regulations and accurately reflect operational reality—thereby safeguarding the Organization’s financial position and enabling accurate preparation of accounting, managerial, and tax reports.

* Support accounting routines to ensure they are performed with quality and within established deadlines, always applying meticulous attention to detail to minimize team errors;
Provide support across multiple activities in a dynamic environment, collaborating with the team to meet complex schedules and ensure each step is completed with quality.

**3\. WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE IN THIS ROLE?**
**Accounting Support Activities**
* Support periodic review of balance sheet and income statement accounts, assisting in verifying balance consistency, identifying potential discrepancies, and organizing supporting documentation under team guidance;
* Support monthly and annual accounting closings, contributing to information organization, data entry into systems, document verification, and support for required consolidation routines;
* Support the monthly reconciliation process between accounting records and extrabookkeeping records, carefully verifying correct period allocation and balance appropriateness, as well as supporting documentation organization and archiving;
* Support audit processes whenever requested by auditors, providing financial information and documents to ensure smooth audit execution;
* Assist in preparing and submitting SPED Contábil (ECD – Digital Accounting Record) and SPED Fiscal (EFD – Digital Fiscal Record), gathering data, performing verifications, and supporting the team in meeting statutory obligations;
* Support preparation and submission of MIT (Tax Inclusion Module), collaborating in collecting and organizing necessary data for information inclusion;
Support preparation and submission of EFD Contributions and related information, assisting the team in meeting deadlines and statutory obligations;

**Requirements:** **4\. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO HAVE?**
* Completed bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related fields;
* Experience in accounting and tax routines;
* Basic English proficiency — occasional use of technical terms;
* Active CRC registration;
* Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
* ERP system experience;
* Knowledge of Brazilian tax legislation.
