Job Description Mission: Project Support: Assists in implementing improvement projects and studies for applying new technologies in sanitation and environmental areas. Team Leadership: Ensures daily maintenance and operation routines of Wastewater Pumping Stations (WPS) and Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP) are carried out by field teams, acting as the liaison between operations and Supervision. Responsibilities:* Quality and Compliance: In coordination with the Quality department, executes the laboratory activity plan, identifies "non-conformities" in operations, and implements immediate corrective and preventive actions to ensure discharge standards. * Method Validation: Supports Supervision and Coordination in updating testing techniques and validating new methods, issuing technical opinions on obtained results and supporting internal and external audits. * Process Optimization: Participates in research to refine treatment formulas and methods, aiming for chemical and operational efficiency of treatment units. * Process Control: Monitors and directs wastewater treatment control, interpreting laboratory analyses to detect deviations from standards and guiding teams on necessary corrections. * Operational Inspection: Monitors the operation of pumping stations and treatment plants, identifying intervention needs and determining root causes of issues to prevent environmental impacts and water body pollution. * Basin Monitoring: Monitors the physical-chemical and biological quality of local hydrographic basins, identifying impacted areas and implementing corrective actions in involved sectors. * Safety and People Management: Communicates operational goals and occupational safety standards (PPEs/collective protective equipment) to employees, assisting in administrative routines such as training and attendance tracking. * Effluent Monitoring: Assesses the pollutant potential of direct or indirect discharges into the sewer network, supporting effluent characterization to ensure the integrity of the treatment system. * Administrative Support: Prepares routine operational reports and assists Coordination in human resources processes and procurement of technical materials. Candidate Requirements Requirements:* Education: Technical degree in Sanitation, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Electromechanics, or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Sanitary, Environmental, Civil, or Chemical). * Driver's License – Category B * Experience: 2–5 years in sanitation operations, preferably in WWTPs, sewer networks, or utilities * Preferred: NR-33, NR-35, NR-10 certifications; WWTP operation course; and field team experience.
