Responsibilities and Duties **Critical Utilities Management:** * Preventive and corrective operation and maintenance of water (PW, WFI), pure steam, compressed air, medical gases, HVAC (climate control), effluents, etc. * Qualification and Validation (GMP): Support installation, operational, and performance qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ) of utility equipment. * Project/Construction Oversight: Monitor installation and commissioning of new utilities or upgrades in pharmaceutical facilities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. * Maintenance and Documentation: Manage preventive/corrective maintenance, prepare technical reports, and ensure documentation (traceability) for quality audits. Requirements and Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (with active registration at CREA). * Postgraduate studies or courses in related fields are desirable, such as: industrial utilities engineering, clinical/hospital engineering, validation and qualification, industrial process engineering, predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance management. * Experience in the pharmaceutical industry. **Regulatory Knowledge (Highly Desirable):** * Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) — ANVISA, FDA, PIC/S regulations. * Utility qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ). Standards such as ASHRAE, ISPE, USP, ABNT, NR-10, among others. **Desired Behavioral Profile:** * Ability to work in highly regulated environments. * Analytical mindset focused on problem solving. * Organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks. * Strong communication skills, including written communication, to collaborate effectively with departments such as Quality Assurance and Production.
