Job Summary: Conducts laboratory tests and physicochemical analyses, ensuring quality, traceability, organization, safety, and reliability of results. Key Highlights: 1. Performs laboratory tests and physico\-chemical analyses in accordance with procedures and technical instructions, ensuring quality, traceability, organization, safety, and reliability of results, as well as guaranteeing the proper, organized, and continuous operation of the laboratory to meet demands from various company projects and commodities. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Conduct laboratory tests in accordance with operational procedures, work instructions, and defined experimental protocols. * Perform metallurgical, physico\-chemical, and physical tests, including but not limited to: Desorption and leaching tests (e.g., ammonium sulfate and other reagents); Particle size analysis, sample preparation and classification; Comparative tests using different reagents, concentrations, and operating conditions; Physical concentration tests such as magnetic separation and flotation. * Operate laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring their proper use. * Receive, identify, prepare, subdivide, homogenize, and store geological and metallurgical samples. * Maintain a clean, organized, and functional laboratory, safeguarding the integrity of the working environment. * Control and keep updated the inventory of reagents, glassware, consumables, and laboratory materials, proactively communicating replenishment needs to supervision. * Support the proper receipt, verification, transportation, and storage of new materials and reagents. * Strictly comply with internal safety, health, and environmental standards; correctly use designated PPE; report deviations, nonconformities, operational failures, or observed risks; and support procedure standardization and continuous improvement of laboratory routines. **Requirements and Qualifications** **Academic Background:** * Technical or technological education in Metallurgy, Mining, or Chemistry. **Professional Experience:** * **2 to 3 years** of experience in the relevant field. **Languages:** * English – **Basic**. **Technical Knowledge:** * Chemical and/or metallurgical laboratory routines – **Knowledge**. * Handling of reagents, solutions, and glassware – **Proficiency**. * Physical preparation and characterization of samples – **Proficiency**. * Metallurgical and physico\-chemical testing – **Knowledge**. * Good laboratory practices and laboratory safety – **Proficiency**. **We are a Brazilian company engaged in exploration, development, and operation of mineral assets.** With 18 years of experience, we currently operate across all regions of Brazil, with a diversified portfolio covering a wide range of minerals, including iron ore, gold, nickel, rare earth elements, phosphate, and limestone. We hold projects at various stages of the mineral activity cycle — from greenfield exploration through to full-scale operations — and employ over 2,100 professionals across Brazil, all committed to our purpose. Currently, we operate three iron ore mines in Minas Gerais: Baratinha and Mongais Mines, part of the Baratinha Complex, and Pedra Branca Mine. Our first iron ore operation, Baratinha Mine in the Vale do Aço region, commenced operations in 2014 and features a wet processing plant with an annual capacity of 2.5 million tons. In 2024, the Mongais project entered operation, with a dry-processing production capacity of 1.5 million tons per year, increasing the total capacity of the Baratinha Complex to 4.0 million tons per year. In the municipalities of João Monlevade and Itabira (MG), the Pedra Branca project began operations in the third quarter of 2025\. The project holds resources of 130 million tons, including 33 million tons of high-grade material, and its full-capacity production is expected to reach 2.0 million tons per year, exclusively via dry processing. Additionally, Bemisa operates a pilot-scale gold project in Pará state, located in Água Azul do Norte near the Carajás polymetallic district. Developed from the greenfield stage, this project does not utilize tailings dams for waste disposal and employs predominantly local workers.
