Democratize e-commerce and financial services across Latin America As a **Software Engineer Backend** at Mercado Livre, you will design and scale innovative and secure systems that solve real-world, high-impact problems. You will work in a dynamic, cutting-edge technology environment, applying engineering best practices, proprietary AI models, and continuous learning — all with the purpose of democratizing e-commerce and financial services across Latin America. Imagine\-yourself leading challenging, dynamic, and innovative projects and **being responsible for:** * Assisting in the development lifecycle of large-scale components/services that will support trace transport and generation across all of MELI. * Collaborating on transforming MELI's observability stack to a vendor-neutral protocol and libraries — OpenTelemetry. * Working closely with various Cloud \& Platform and product teams to integrate new features into Fury, our internal development platform. * Developing tools and mechanisms to manage the event lifecycle — from generation, transport, processing, to storage. **What we’re looking for:** * Backend development experience with Go, Java, or similar languages, and hands-on experience with one or more observability tools. * Experience modeling schemas and writing queries in databases. * Knowledge of microservices architectures and scalability, plus solid cloud concepts. **Are you excited to leave your mark on Latin America’s technology landscape?** Apply now and join our mission!
