**What you will do**

This position operates within the Reduction area and is responsible for performing welding services across various processes; cutting, bending, and assembling sheets and profiles; supporting the preparation of machine bases; and correcting defects via gouging. You will also support maintenance of welding equipment and contribute to ensuring precision, quality, and safety during repairs and assemblies.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Perform welding services with technical proficiency in MIG, MAG, TIG, oxy-acetylene, and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) processes applied to metallic structures and components used in potline refurbishment.
* Cut, bend, and assemble sheets, profiles, and metallic structures based on sketches or technical drawings, ensuring precision and quality.
* Diagnose faults in welding equipment, perform basic maintenance, or escalate to specialized support when necessary.
* Prepare machine bases and metallic structures using torches and bolt welding per technical instructions.
* Perform gouging activities (air-arc or equivalent process) to remove welds, open bevels, correct defects, and prepare joints for subsequent welding processes.

**Academic Qualifications**
* Completed high school;
* Vocational welding course;
* Technical qualification in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering is desirable;
**Knowledge and Skills**
* Proficiency in gouging processes;
* Experience with shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) and MIG/MAG welding;
* Skill in assembling metallic structures.
