We believe that identifying, attracting, developing, and retaining talent are significant actions because our people are so important. **SUMMARY** ----------- To carry out laboratory routine operations smoothly within his/her section to ensure that accurate and timely data is provided to the client. **DUTIES \& RESPONSIBILITIES** ------------------------------ * To be aware of Quality Assurance in all daily work activities and to follow the rules of prevention. * To maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all laboratory safety requirements. * To report all non\-conformities and problems to the Laboratory Supervisor. * To report poor workmanship from fellow employees to the Laboratory Supervisor. * To respect and protect company and client confidentiality at all times. * To perform a range of laboratory tests in accordance with GPA, API, ASTM standards and company procedures, after initial training. * To report results to clients and maintain record of all laboratory tests. * To regularly perform equipment calibration in accordance to procedures. * To regularly perform equipment calibration quality checks in accordance to procedures. * To become familiar with basic problem solving and troubleshooting of equipment. * To fully complete and file all worksheets, forms and records. * To maintain laboratory inventories of chemicals, spares and consumables. * To attend regular departmental meetings. * Performs other duties as and when required. **QUALIFICATIONS** ------------------ * High school diploma. BSC degree or MSc degree is desirable. * Prerequisites for this position comprise of a degree and preferably 1\+ year directly related professional experience. **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS \& ATTRIBUTES** ----------------------------------- * Fluent in written and spoken English. * Computer literate. * Good communication skills, both written and verbal. * Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality. * Strong critical thinking and problem\-solving skills.
