Coordination of import processes and customs clearance An energy-focused engineering company seeks a Purchasing Supervisor in Rio de Janeiro (Downtown). **Responsibilities:** Negotiate contracts, pricing, delivery timelines, and payment terms with domestic or foreign suppliers to achieve optimal cost-effectiveness and cost reduction. Identify, evaluate, and develop potential domestic and international suppliers, ensuring material quality. Coordinate the import process, including document review, shipment, and customs clearance. Analyze and arrange international freight, monitoring transportation to ensure on-time delivery. Supervise the purchasing/import team, setting goals and strategies. Collaborate with Planning and Production Control (PCP) and Engineering departments to understand material and input requirements. Anticipate potential procurement risks and implement preventive actions. Ensure supply continuity while minimizing capital tied up in material inventories. Prepare reports on purchasing progress, costs, and performance indicators (KPIs). Previous experience as Purchasing Coordinator, Purchasing Manager, Purchasing Analyst, or Purchasing Assistant may indicate alignment with some responsibilities of this position. Bachelor's degree required.
