Application of safety standards and technical procedures **Description** Tasks include, but are not limited to: Conducting material inspection and distribution to each work front; verifying operation scheduling for optimal execution. Monitoring ship loading and unloading operations; identifying potential accident hazards and recording them in a spreadsheet for control purposes, then reporting to immediate leadership and the materials department. Frequently communicating with immediate leadership to report any incidents encountered during operations and requesting information or authorization to make decisions aimed at achieving the best solution. Distributing daily cargo loads according to the operational plan; complying with the cargo plan issued by the vessel’s captain; monitoring and observing cargo to be stored to ensure vessel safety. Receiving information from leadership regarding vessel berthing, subsequently monitoring materials to be moved, and requesting support if necessary to optimize vessel reloading. Recording daily cargo movement in a specific report and forwarding it to the materials department. Supporting contingency actions in case of accidents, under guidance from the occupational safety department, removing spilled cargo and other materials from the work area. Executing, scheduling, and providing technical guidance for tracking and sorting activities for final destinations of materials and equipment, as well as cargo handling and lifting. Responsible for monitoring the sequence of loading and unloading of materials and equipment aboard vessels. Inspecting and registering all materials, accessories, and equipment entering, exiting, or transiting contractual areas. Controlling materials related to UEPs, DMAs, TOs, Inspection and Maintenance, among others, and monitoring operational activity planning within contractual areas. Complying with technical standards and operational procedures; identifying and registering all materials and equipment stored in contractual areas to enable traceability. Performing tasks necessary or supportive to executing primary responsibilities, and developing technical instructions and procedures. Maintaining, cleaning, and preserving one’s workplace, as well as safeguarding and controlling all materials, devices, and equipment under one’s responsibility. Moving, delivering, and collecting materials on vessels and operational areas; handling special cargo; connecting materials to cranes. Establishing communication by issuing, receiving, and verifying information, authorizations, and instructions concerning material loading and unloading. Supporting cargo handling, lifting, and transportation activities; assisting operations involving Cable Receiving and Transfer Equipment; handling, packaging, preparing, assembling, disassembling, and rigging mooring lines. Vessel mooring, loading, unloading, boarding, disembarking, berthing, and unberthing; sorting and organizing materials, accessories, and equipment across all contractual areas. Tagging materials, accessories, and equipment for inclusion in the traceability system; complying with legislation and established technical standards per safety, environmental, and health regulations. Receiving, collecting, preserving, dispatching, transporting tools, materials, and equipment; retrieving required materials, equipment, and tools from warehouses and toolrooms according to existing routines. Guiding crane operators using specific hand signals or radio communication for cargo movement, assessing sling conditions, mooring status, hook integrity, and latch closure. Immediately reporting and recording all incidents and accidents occurring during port operations.
