Strategic involvement in operations and stakeholder management **About the Ocyan & Mota-Engil Consortium** The Ocyan & Mota-Engil Consortium was established in 2023 following Ocyan’s award of a strategic contract, in partnership with Portuguese company Mota-Engil, to execute the revitalization of Petrobras’ gas pipeline network in the Campos Basin. The project marks an expansion of both companies’ involvement in offshore EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Installation of subsea equipment) projects. Activities will be carried out on the Namorado (PNA-1) and Garoupa (PGP-1) platforms, focusing on the installation of manifolds, flexible pipelines, and other high-complexity subsea equipment. The collaboration between Ocyan and Mota-Engil strengthens the Consortium’s expertise: on one side, Ocyan’s solid experience in the Brazilian oil and gas market; on the other, Mota-Engil’s recognized international presence, especially in Europe and Africa. We are looking for an Offshore Construction Manager to join the project team. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Maintain clear and continuous communication with internal and external stakeholders—including clients, suppliers, and regulatory authorities—to ensure alignment of expectations and resolution of potential issues; * Serve as the primary authority onboard and direct liaison with the client, ensuring vessel operational performance and guaranteeing that project objectives are met effectively, efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with the company’s QSMS guidelines; * Ensure that safety systems—such as MOC (Management of Change), Toolbox Talks, PTs (Permits to Work), etc.—are properly implemented, and that all subsea construction processes and procedures comply with offshore safety standards and applicable legislation; * Prepare and report technical, operational, and safety-related aspects per project requirements—including risk analysis reports, procedure change management, incident and accident reporting, daily operation reports, operation schedules, etc.—ensuring full traceability of activities; * Conduct operational analyses and make real-time strategic decisions to manage multiple simultaneous operations; * Ensure subcontractors fulfill their formal obligations, facilitating interface between the client’s organization and the onboard team; * Plan and manage personnel and equipment mobilization/demobilization efficiently, coordinating actions with the onshore operations team to optimize resources; * Ensure all team members receive appropriate training and supervision, fostering a safe and effective working environment; * Lead and supervise the entire offshore construction team, ensuring shift alignment and efficiency, and providing continuous performance reporting on operations and team members to the project operations management; * Ensure all team members are familiar with the site and equipment, conducting ongoing briefings and guidance to help them perform tasks safely and efficiently. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; * Minimum 6–9 years of experience in the subsea sector, preferably in pipeline laying; * Prior experience in leading teams and/or coordinating offshore operations, preferably with multidisciplinary teams; * Previous experience with audits and preparation of technical reports for clients; * Advanced English proficiency; * Leadership and People Management training (preferred); The Ocyan & Mota-Engil Consortium was established in 2023 following Ocyan’s award of a strategic contract, in partnership with Portuguese company Mota-Engil, to execute the revitalization of Petrobras’ gas pipeline network in the Campos Basin.
