Join our global team to grow your expertise and develop innovative solutions that enable a prosperous and more sustainable society. **About the role** ================== Job Summary The Sr. (Field) Service Technician is responsible for installing, configuring, calibrating, and repairing technical products and systems at customer field locations. This role performs a variety of maintenance and technical support tasks and may provide onsite training to customer support personnel. This job profile is intended for support staff that follows established procedures and works under close supervision. Smaller/easier decisions are made autonomously. **Key Responsibilities:** * Identify improvements in Sulzer equipment and communicate the improvement plan to the relevant Sulzer departments; * Installation and removal of rotating equipment in the field and on offshore platforms; * Assembly and start-up of sealing systems; * Alignment between motor and pump; * Assembly and disassembly of thermal expansion couplings and hydraulic expansion couplings; * Adjustment of the gap between driving and driven machines, gland packing sealing; * Assembly/disassembly of mechanical seals, plain radial bearings, rolling-element bearings (radial and axial), and clearance adjustment; * Centering of rotating assemblies; * Adjustment and assembly of tapered pins; Assembly and basic operation of flushing machines in lubrication units, small-sized valves and actuators, and other duties relevant to the position. * **Required Skills:** * Fully qualified Mechanical Technician; * Practical and theoretical knowledge of bearing assembly, mechanical fitting by clearance and interference; * Basic knowledge of machine tool operation, metrology, and use of measuring instruments such as calipers, external and internal micrometers, tubular micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, and lever-type dial indicators; * Dimensional control knowledge with report generation; * Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings; * Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office for report generation; * Knowledge of rigging, lifting, and cargo transportation; * Basic knowledge of pumps **What we offer you** ===================== Health, dental, and life insurance Meal, food, and public transportation allowances Wellness program and Gympass Profit Sharing and Results Program (PSRP) Private pension plan Wide variety of learning opportunities Sulzer is an equal opportunity employer.
