Apply for this position and good luck! **Responsibilities and Duties** **Requirements and Qualifications** ### **Main Responsibilities** * Act as substitute Machinery Superintendent when required * Assign, monitor, and execute tasks for the machinery team * Supervise and lead the team to ensure completion of maintenance activities * Coordinate operations and maintenance (preventive and corrective) of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems * Support the Machinery Superintendent in managing materials and maintenance plans * Monitor receipt of supplies (fuel, oil, water, and materials) * Report incidents related to personnel, equipment, and operations ### **Operations \& Safety** * Ensure a safe and productive environment in the machinery space * Comply with and enforce safety, environmental, and health (QSMS) regulations * Identify and address risks, incidents, and unsafe conditions * Participate in audits, safety dialogues, and safety practices Mandatory Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nautical Sciences from a Naval Academy (specialization in Marine Engineering) or equivalent, plus STCW III/2 (APMA) certification and Maintenance Supervisor Certification meeting minimum requirements stipulated by the MODU Code referenced in IMO Resolution A.1079. Recommended Minimum Experience: Over 4 (four) years of experience in activities related to this role. However, for new hires, at least 2 years as Assistant Machinery Superintendent and a minimum of 2 additional years as Machinery Superintendent on drilling units.
