




Job Summary: A professional responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of crew members and the environment aboard offshore vessels, conducting inspections, training, and incident investigations. If you meet the requirements and are available for the indicated region, apply! .*** Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Collecting SOC (Safety Observation Cards) and vessel suggestions and entering them into DOCMAP. Monitoring action deadlines and closure of observations; Maintaining original SOCs archived and organized onboard; Entering safety-related information into the system, such as: safety observations, behavioral audits, etc.; Ensuring that Risk Assessments, Work Permits, and Toolbox Talks are conducted prior to commencing onboard activities, to guarantee execution under appropriate safety conditions and in accordance with applicable legal regulations; Monitoring vessel documents including PPRA, Risk Maps, and Confined Space Plans; Supporting environmental assessments (PPRA, ergonomic analyses, etc.) conducted onboard whenever necessary or requested; Conducting (and participating in) weekly safety meetings onboard; Conducting DDSMS (Safety, Environment, and Health Dialogues); Participating in daily onboard management meetings; Conducting safety orientation for visitors, passengers, and crew members onboard; Conducting PEAT training; Ensuring appropriate actions are taken in case of accidents/incidents involving personnel, materials, equipment, or the environment, adhering to company guidelines and responding promptly. The severity of the event must be considered to minimize resulting consequences; Preparing initial accident/incident reports for signature by the Vessel Master and submission to the onshore QMS department; Initiating accident/incident investigation: performing simulations, taking photographs, conducting interviews, supporting provision of requested information from shore; Performing periodic safety, environmental, and critical vessel equipment inspections (fire extinguishers, fire-fighting systems, emergency showers, eyewash stations, etc.); Training and raising awareness among crew members on topics including: smoking onboard, use of PPE, risk perception, ergonomics, hand protection, Respiratory Protection Program (RPP), and Hearing Conservation Program (HCP); Conducting QMS-related audits and inspections; Participating in mandatory vessel trainings (abandonment procedures, piracy response, firefighting, etc.); Reviewing management system manuals, procedures, and instructions whenever necessary; Performing shift handovers detailing all activities carried out and difficulties encountered during the fortnight, resource requirements, and any other relevant items; Participating in onshore QMS meetings when requested; Participating in the development and review of activity execution procedures, incorporating aspects of Safety, Environment, and Occupational Health (SMS), including SMS-related procedures; Assuming responsibility for occupational safety measures, implementing safety plans and procedures; Training and raising awareness among CONTRACTOR personnel on SMS-related matters; Monitoring compliance with legal and contractual requirements related to this document; Periodically delivering lectures and/or meetings addressing safety topics; Developing and implementing plans and procedures for maintenance, hygiene, and storage of PPEs; Performing other activities related to the professional development of an occupational safety technician.
