Job Purpose Conduct acquisition, analysis, and processing of hydrographic, oceanographic, geophysical, topographic, geological, environmental, cartographic, geodetic, and related samples and data; Operate equipment and systems, participating in their mobilization, calibration, configuration, maintenance, repair, and demobilization. Perform deck work including winch operation, lifting, deployment and recovery of equipment, seamanship (mooring, coupling, cables), equipment installation, and other related tasks; Generate reports and records of executed activities and collected data. Navigation Systems * Participate in the installation, configuration, and integration of navigation systems, such as: navigation software, geodetic parameters, reference files (points, lines, maps, etc.), vessel drawings and parameters, data recording, etc. * Participate in equipment calibration, including data collection, processing, analysis, and report preparation. Equipment * Assist with mobilization, installation, configuration, and calibration of equipment, including transportation and packaging of equipment, accessories, and materials, and use of tools. * Support monitoring of cable connections, configuration, testing, and repair of systems. * Perform cleaning, storage, and preservation of operational equipment, materials, and instruments, among other services required to fulfill contractual obligations. Data Acquisition and Collection * Participate in acquisition of hydrographic, oceanographic, geophysical, topographic, geological, environmental, cartographic, geodetic, and related samples and data, applying knowledge of meteorological-oceanographic conditions and equipment operations. * Assist in identifying locations, guiding vessel and equipment positioning, and supporting operations, movements, and maneuvers performed on the system (deck, winch, equipment, etc.). * Record and process collected samples, for example sediment samples, meteorological-oceanographic data (sound velocity profiles, current data), positioning data, geophysical system data, and related information.
