Description

Job Summary: Operate debarking and chipping equipment for logs, perform inspections, basic maintenance, and production control, ensuring sector organization. Key Highlights: 1. Operation of equipment and supervisory panel 2. Preventive maintenance and visual inspection of machines 3. Production control and sector organization ✓ Operate the log debarker and chipper via the supervisory panel. ✓ Monitor the chip silo level via the control panel to prevent material overflow. ✓ Manually remove debris harmful to equipment (stones and metal). ✓ Request equipment lockout for electrical maintenance during knife replacement or shutdown. ✓ Request assistance from the line support operator via radio when conveyor belt blockages or process-related issues occur. ✓ Conduct visual inspection of equipment to identify potential repair needs. ✓ Replace and adjust chipper knives. ✓ Close out shift production by recording indicators (production volume and stoppages) in a dedicated report for management review. ✓ Clean the work area and maintain its organization. ✓ Remove stones from the yard to prevent damage to chipper knives. ✓ Assist with various tasks such as chipper knife and tool replacements. ✓ Clear conveyor belt and chipper blockages. ✓ Direct biomass and briquette trucks according to instructions provided by the Yard (Chipper) Operator.
